Hi thereāwelcome!
This blog, Korean Local, is run by just one person: me, a local living in Seoul, Korea. I started this blog because Iāve always wanted to share what daily life in Korea really feels like, especially for people who are planning to visit and want more than the usual tourist experience.
Whenever I travel abroad, I always seem to follow the same path as every other tourist.
The Colosseum in Rome. The Eiffel Tower in Paris.
And donāt get me wrongātheyāre amazing. But after checking those off my list, I often find myself thinking: āWhat do locals do here?ā
Where do they go for a quiet weekend? What do they actually eat for lunch? Whatās the everyday rhythm of life in this city? This blog is for people who feel the same way when they visit Koreaāespecially Seoul.
This is not a travel agency blog. This isnāt run by a company.
Itās just me, writing about the places I go, the food I eat, and the thoughts I have as someone who lives in Koreaānot as a guide, but as a local friend.
Youāll find:
Sometimes my posts will be short. Sometimes theyāll be reflective.
But theyāll always be written for the curious visitor or reader, in mind.
Then I hope this blog becomes a helpful and meaningful part of your journey.
Iāll post regularly about life in Koreaāespecially Seoul.
Expect everything from food reviews and travel tips to deeper reflections on Korean culture. Sometimes even a book Iāve read might lead to a blog post, especially if it helps explain something about this country I call home.
I hope every post gives you something useful, even if itās just one tip or one new perspective.
Thanks for reading. Iām so glad youāre here.
