This blog, Korean Local, is run by just one person: me, a local living in Seoul, Korea. I started this blog because I’ve always wanted to share what daily life in Korea really feels like, especially for people who are planning to visit and want more than the usual tourist experience.

Why I Started This Blog

Whenever I travel abroad, I always seem to follow the same path as every other tourist.

The Colosseum in Rome. The Eiffel Tower in Paris.
And don’t get me wrong—they’re amazing. But after checking those off my list, I often find myself thinking: “What do locals do here?”

Where do they go for a quiet weekend? What do they actually eat for lunch? What’s the everyday rhythm of life in this city? This blog is for people who feel the same way when they visit Korea—especially Seoul.

What Korean Local Is All About

This is not a travel agency blog. This isn’t run by a company.
It’s just me, writing about the places I go, the food I eat, and the thoughts I have as someone who lives in Korea—not as a guide, but as a local friend.

You’ll find:

Honest reviews of restaurants and street food spots I’ve actually been to
Tips on places to visit that might not be in your guidebook
